Pagani Huayra

After the teaser Pagani, and filtration of the Spanish magazine that ended up throwing the water to the new model, chose to make the official presentation via web. The new car finally called Huayra, which is the “God of the Winds”, the same element that (as designers) were inspired to form, although Racer think this is the true inspiration.
The heart is a 6.0 Huayra pezgatomóvil TwinTurbo V12, AMG developed especially for this car, which is capable of developing 700 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. This is connected to a 7 double-clutch changes, which gives the rear-wheel drive. To reduce consumption has two gas stations, where the latter is activated only when needed, and this prevents quickly go to 85 liter fuel tank. The exhaust system is made entirely of aluminum and weighs only 10 kg. The final vehicle weight is 1350 kg, allowing it to reach a top speed exceeding 370 km / h.
A new very interesting are the four active wings, two forward and two steps back, which apart from giving extra vertical load, it also helps during cornering, with more downforce to the center of the curve. These wings are connected to a central unit that monitors speed, throttle position, lateral acceleration, and based on this change the inclination of each wing, to secure greater adhesion to the floor and less resistance to movement.

The Pagani Huayra is a new model. It has a 700 horsepower engine and two seats. Is larger than the Zonda (Javier Molto account details of the Zonda R in the blog).
So far no data on benefits achieved. The engine, manufactured by AMG, is a twelve-cylinder V, 5,980 cc, supercharged by two turbochargers. Is having the S, SL and CL 65 AMG (technical) but with more power. Maximum torque remains unchanged: 1,000 Nm.
The engine is mated to a manual gearbox with automatic seven relations for the clutch and gear selection. That is, no clutch pedal or a lever to go meshing each gear, yes there are paddles on the steering wheel. The double disc clutch. Weighs 96 kg, according to Pagani, a dual-clutch automatic gearbox would have meant additional 70 kilograms so it does not compensate its faster.
The Huayra weighs 1,350 kg (do not know if it’s weight in vacuum or in conditions of approval), much less than other sports next power and weighs less than a Porsche 911 GT2 RS, a lighter version of the 911 GT2 (comparative tab) . The chassis is made of titanium and carbon, the suspension subframe steel (chromium and molybdenum). The exhaust is “MHG-Fahrzeugtechnik” and weighs 10 kilograms.
