Hello everyone my name is Cristina Giménez and for work I have been living for 13 years in Buenos Aires. From day one I missed my old car, which unfortunately had to sell to go to work and begin the adventure. Nothing compares to the independence that gives you a vehicle owned, so two years ago, with some money already saved, I decided to buy a car for use by those roads.

I bought a Mini Cooper S red and every day I am more happy at the wheel of this beauty. For several months, I was looking online car ads and after contact with many of them, I finally found a reputable seller in Mar del Plata. I moved a weekend to see “in situ” the car and test how this worked. The seller turned out to be charming and the car was in perfect condition, so I paid U.S. $ 29,500 with all papers and in order and only 48,000 km.

Despite what may appear because of its size, this car is safe and gives me the peace I need when I get behind the wheel. Incorporates Automatic Stability Control and Traction (ASCT) and the four disc brakes with Anti-lock system (ABS) and Cornering Brake Control.

I arrived safely at the airport of Barajas and 15 days later my gorgeous Mini was also with me rolling on the roads of Madrid. The truth that I had no problem with my carrier though was a bit dubious to have hired the Internet, but comments from other customers on the carrier reassured me.

Now I have to go back to enjoy it, keep walking miles and indeed probably give it a new chassis design to my “pram”.

Finally, the ‘Power’ mode optimizes the technology so that the vehicle has full power (215 hp + 70 hp). The very rapid electric motor torque contributes to the acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is of only 6.2 seconds.

There is a possibility to save battery, using the “Save” to drive on electricity alone later, for example in a green urban or city center. The objective Save as ensuring that the driver has enough power for about 20 km.

The price of the plug-in hybrid version of the S60 will be higher than the combustion engine version for the cost of the batteries. However, moving it will be much cheaper. In Sweden have calculated that the electricity needed to move can cost about 25 kroner per 100 kilometers, or about 3 euros.

Pressing the button activates the AWD four-wheel drive. The diesel engine and the generator operates continuously ensures that the level of battery power is sufficient to power the rear axle with the necessary power.

The braking system in two stages is another smart features. If the driver presses the brake, the system starts to slow the rear axle electric motor. The braking energy is used to recharge the battery. The mechanical brakes are activated only when the situation requires more braking power.

According to Stefan Jacoby, president and CEO of Volvo Cars, “this second-generation hybrid is the perfect choice for the uncompromising buyer who wants a vehicle with low carbon dioxide emissions without sacrificing driving pleasure.”

Volvo is working in parallel in the electric Volvo C30, which runs only on electricity.
